Overvågningsbaseret forskning indenfor molekylær evolution og epidemiologi af RNA virus infektioner i mennesker og dyr.

Ansvarsområder

Ansvarlig for det Danske WHO National Reference Laboratory for Poliovirus, herindunder den danske enterovirus overvågning. Udover dette, ansvarlig for laboratorieovervågning af parechovirus, rotavirus, hepatitis A virus og hepatitis E virus. Er alternate National Microbiology Focal Point overfor European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), medlem af styregruppen for European Non-Polio Enterovirus Network (ENPEN).
