Forskningsområder

Jeg er akademisk medarbejder på Dansk Center for Neonatal Screening, Medfødte Sygdomme, hvor min forskning er fokuseret på at udvikle komputationelle løsninger og dataanalysemetoder til metabolomics-undersøgelser. Vores vigtigste prøvematerialer er blod på filterpapir fra den rutinemæssige screening af nyfødte i Danmark. Disse prøver opbevares i Danmarks Nationale Biobank. Ved hjælp af metabolomics-metoder tilstræber vi at opdage nye biomarkører til screening af medfødte sygdomme hos nyfødte, samt undersøge virkningerne af forskellige miljøfaktorer på fremtidige sundhedsresultater og velvære.

Ansvarsområder

Mine ansvarsområder indebærer udvikling af nye komputationelle metabolomics-fremgangsmåder ved analyse af blod på filterpapir, guidning af LC-MS/MS metabolomics-metodeudvikling i forbindelse med vurdering af datakvalitet og kemisk identificering af metabolitter i high throughput og biologisk fortolkning af resultater.
