Pseudomonas-CF-IgG ELISA kit

General
In P. aeruginosa infections, antibodies are formed in the blood. If the infection is chronic, the antibody level is higher than with non-chronic infections. Determining the antibody level can help clinicians decide whether or not the patient requires antibiotic treatment.
Product description
The antigens used to coat the ELISA plate are a mixture of antigens from P. aeruginosa serotypes O-1 to O-17. The standard antiserum is a pool of antibodies against P. aeruginosa. All other components in the kit are traditional ELISA reagents.
Use
The ELISA plate is coated with the antigen mixture. It is washed, blocked and washed again. The 4 dilutions of standard antiserum and the patient sample (double control) are added to the ELISA wells. The secondary antibody is added and washing is carried out, after which the substrate reacts. The reaction is stopped and the ELISA plate is read. The result for the patient sample is calculated from the standard curve and evaluated in relation to the culture results.
