SSI organizes Legionella conference in Copenhagen
Approximately 150 European scientists, experts and decision makers will meet in Copenhagen on September 15th to 17th to paticipate in the annual meeting of the "European Working Group for Legionella Infections" (EWGLI).
This year, the conference is organized by employees from Division of Microbiology and Diagnostics at Statens Serum Institut.
Prior to the conference, the EU Agency European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) will host the first meeting of a newly established network for monitoring Legionnaires' disease, European Legionnaires' Disease Surveillance Network (ELDSNet).
The main themes of the EWGLI meeting in Copenhagen will be risk factors, risk assessment and prevention of Legionnaires' disease.
Other main subjects covered at the meeting will be diagnosis, surveillance and experiences from outbreaks .
