Ansvarsområder
Faglig direktør for det diagnostiske infektionsberedskab omfattende afdelingerne for Virus og Mikrobiologisk Specialdiagnostik; Bakterier, Parasitter og Svampe; Tuberkulose og Mykobakterier samt Prædiagnostik og Service. Arbejdet foregår som et integreret One Health samarbejde og omfatter således laboratoriediagnostik af infektioner hos både mennesker og dyr. Er tillige Affiliate Professor ved Deakin University, Victoria, Australien.
Forskningsområder
Mine forskningsinteresser spænder vidt inden for specielt virus detektion, karakterisering og patobiologi, molekylær epidemiology, One Health, samt udvikling og brug af molekylær-biologiske metoder herunder sekventering.
