Contract Animal Services
Statens Serum Institut (SSI) have a state-of-the-art facility where it is possible for interested customers to carry out biological assays and research involving laboratory animals.
Animals welfare has a high priority in our daily work and we are constantly trying to improve their welfare. Our standards for housing and care of animals are complying with the latest and most comprehensive international guidelines, the Council of Europe's Convention for the Protection of Vertebrate Animals used for Experimental and Other Scientific Purposes (ETS. No. 123, Appendix A).
We work with:
- Rodents and rabbits with known FELASA health status
- Quality control at GMP and GLP level of documentation
- Infectious microorganisms at Bio Safety Levels 1, 2 and 3
- Genetically Modified Organisms at Class 1 and 2
We can offer our experience and help regarding:
- Housing and laboratory space for laboratory animals
- Animal caretaking during the experiment
- Technical and academic know-how for establishing biological assays and research involvling laboratory animals
